Site Conditions
Site scanning should never be performed on a jobsite that is not ready or is subject to change.
We reserve the right to request pictures/ videos of the site prior to booking the scan to ensure the site is in an adequate condition for scanning.
Laser scanning is limited to sightline visibility. It is the responsibility of the client to remove any materials or debris on or around the measured object(s) that obstructs the view of main features prior to the scanning appointment.
Examples of obstacles or potential delays on site include but are not limited to:
- Items covering the floor (if floor flatness and/ or detail is required)
- Stationary objects such as scaffolding, temporary supports, equipment should not block the scan site. Should debris/ tools/ materials be on the scan site, these items will be picked up in the scan and they could block out potentially important data.
- Scanning must be conducted on a surface free of movement/ vibration.
- Direct sunlight may affect the scan- if applicable we will discuss the best time of day for the scan.
- Area to be traffic-free while scanning is taking place- evening or weekends may be preferrable.
- Should flooring not yet be completed, we must be given the final height to factor into our drawings (any discrepancies in this information will be the customers responsibility)
- If glass is being installed into a curved channel, that channel should be installed prior to scan. The inside of the channel must also be free of debris.
