TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Technical

  1. Due to the process of forming glass at extremely high temperatures, marks and distortion can occur, despite best efforts and practices. It is advised for Customers to get full sized samples prior to order.
  2. Heat treated glass and projects with multiple layers of glass will have inherent visual distortion. This distortion may increase as the radius decreases and/ or glass thickness increases. A full list of visual imperfections can be found in our Warranty. It is advised for Customers to get full sized samples prior to order.
  3. Coastal Curved Glass follows ASTM standards for optical quality, allowable flaws and size tolerance. These same standards do not apply to tight radius bends (<12”), bends with flat tangents, non-radius curves, or glass thicker than ½”.  Orders in any of these categories are produced to the best of the Company’s manufacturing ability. Acceptable tolerances should be discussed and agreed upon prior to order.
  4. The Customer acknowledges and agrees that it is the sole responsibility of the Customer (or its designated architect, engineer, or contractor) to select, specify, and approve the appropriate type, thickness, and specification of glass required to meet all applicable building codes, structural requirements, and architectural safety standards. Coastal Curved Glass provides materials based strictly on the specifications provided by the Customer and expressly disclaims all liability for any non-compliance with local, national, or international safety regulations resulting from the Customer’s selection.
  5. The Customer is solely responsible for determining whether the glass products selected are suitable for the Customer’s purposes and will meet the Customer’s performance expectations.
  6. Templates are accepted and Coastal Curved Glass will use best efforts to duplicate what has been received. The quality of the template may impact the accurateness of the final product. For the best accuracy, the Customer should avoid sending paper templates, folded cardboard, or broken/ cracked glass templates.  Coastal Curved Glass cannot warranty issues which arise from any discrepancy due to poor templates. Coastal Curved Glass reserves the right to charge Customers for the digitizing of each template at its discretion – this fee will range from $50 – $250/ template.
