1. Laminated flat and laminated curved glass to be free from delamination for a period of (5) five years from the date of manufacture. The use of a cement-based grout is prohibited with laminated glass and will void any warranty.

 

2. The manufacture of tempered glass is by a thermal toughening process. The tension zones (anisotropy) can be seen under polarized light.  Since natural daylight contains differing levels of polarized light depending on weather and time of day, coloured rings or similar phenomena can become visible, this is not a warrantable defect.

 

3. Roller wave distortion is the wave imparted into the glass from the rollers in tempering furnaces. The viewer may perceive the roller wave as optical distortion, this is not a warrantable defect.

 

4. Tempered curved glass can have visual distortion due to the inherent attributes of tempering. Visual quality will be distorted the thicker the glass and the tighter the radius.  These visual impairments are not a warrantable defect. It is recommended that full size samples be obtained and accepted by the end user before ordering.

 

5. Insulated Glass (IG) to be free from obstruction of vision as a result of film formation on the internal glass surfaces caused by failure of the seal due to defects in material or workmanship for a period of (5) years from the date of manufacture.

 

• Insulated glass warranty does not apply to any IG unit installed in watercraft, land vehicles, trailers or swimming pools.
• Insulated glass warranty will be void if breather tubes used in shipping are not sealed within sixty days of manufacture.
• Soft coat LowE’s are very susceptible to marks from handling during the bending process. All care and attention is taken to reduce marks, dust, lint etc, but greater tolerances than ASTM 1376 are required.

 

6. All glass products are sold FOB and are guaranteed to meet ASTM standards for optical quality and size tolerances*

 

• *Exceptions will be made on difficult compound bends, curves greater than ¼ of a circle, radii less than 12”, and glass thicker than ½”. It is recommended that full size samples be obtained and accepted by the end user before ordering.

 

7. Coastal Curved Glass will not accept any chargebacks or expenses related to delayed orders unless otherwise expressly agreed to in advance and in writing. This includes but is not limited to: labour, jobsite modifications, removal of glass/ temporary products, inspections, and/or related installation charges.

 

8. Coastal Curved Glass carefully inspects every piece of glass before it leaves the shop. There is no warranty against glass breakage, damage or scratches reported after the glass has left our shop.

 

9. Should any errors in glass size, thickness, colour, make-up, radius etc. be found upon initial inspection by the client, they must be reported to Coastal Curved Glass within 30 days of delivery in order to qualify for repair/ replacement. Issues reported after 30 days will be repaired/ replaced at a cost to the client.

 

• Coastal Curved Glass reserves the right to request the rejected piece back for inspection.
• Shipping and crating costs are not covered under any warranty.

 

10. This warranty does not apply to materials not paid for in full.

 

COASTAL CURVED GLASS EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND ANY OTHER OBLIGATION OR LIABILITY NOT SET FORTH IN ITS STANDARD TERMS OF WARRANTY.  COASTAL CURVED GLASS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
